About Arrow Exit

Arrow Exit is an arrow puzzle, the kind also called arrows escape or tap away: a board packed with arrows, each pointing at an edge. Tap an arrow and it flies out in its direction, but only if nothing stands anywhere on its line. Every arrow you clear opens the way for others, until the whole board unravels. 244 hand-built levels, three hearts and a clock, free in your browser.

How to play Arrow Exit

  • Tap an arrow to send it off the board in the direction it points.
  • It only leaves if every cell from its head to the edge is empty.
  • Tapping a blocked arrow costs one of your three hearts and breaks your streak.
  • Clear every arrow before the timer runs out. Bigger boards get more time.
  • Finish a level to unlock the next one. Your progress and best score on every level are kept.

Controls

  • Tap or click an arrow to fire it.
  • Zoom with the buttons or a pinch on the big boards; switch on the grid to see lanes clearly.
  • Hint shows a good arrow to take: three per attempt.
  • The eraser removes any one arrow, blocked or not: one per attempt.

Tips

  • Start with the arrows near the edges; their paths are shortest.
  • Prefer the arrow that blocks the most others.
  • Only the line in front of an arrow's head matters: check that, not the whole body.
  • A clean run beats a fast one: hearts and no help are worth more than seconds.

Frequently asked questions

Is Arrow Exit free?

Yes. It plays free in the browser with no download and no sign-up.

What is an arrow puzzle?

A puzzle where every piece is an arrow that can only leave the board in the direction it points, and only when nothing blocks its way. The challenge is the order: each arrow you clear opens the path for others.

How many levels are there?

244, from three arrows on the first board to well over a hundred on the largest.

What happens if I tap a blocked arrow?

You lose one of three hearts and the board stays as it was. Lose all three and you try the level again.

What does the eraser do?

It removes any one arrow, even a blocked one. You get one per attempt; using it or a hint gives up the 150-point bonus for the level.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Unlocked levels and your best score on each one are kept.
