About block puzzles

Block puzzles split into two families that feel nothing alike. One is the endless kind — pieces arrive, you place them on a grid, full lines clear, and it goes on until nothing fits. Hopp Blocks is that game: there is no finish line, only a score and the moment you run out of room.

The other is the designed kind, where a level has one correct answer and someone built it on purpose. Arrow Exit works this way: every piece points a direction, you send them out in an order that does not block anything else, and its 244 levels are a difficulty curve rather than a random draw. Water Sort is designed the same way, with colours instead of blocks: pour them between tubes until each tube holds one.

The skill transfers less than you would expect. Endless block puzzles reward keeping options open and refusing to fill the middle of the grid. Designed levels reward the opposite — reading the whole board first and finding the one piece that has to move before any other can.

All of them run in the browser, keep your progress, and need nothing installed.
