About TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks is a quick solitaire with one rule: play a card one rank higher or lower than the top of the waste. Clear all 28 tableau cards by playing an uncovered card one rank higher or lower than the top waste card. Suits do not matter; King and Ace can follow each other. Draw one card when needed. There is one pass through the stock, with no recycle.

How to play

  • Tap any uncovered card one rank higher or lower than the waste. Ace connects to both 2 and King.
  • Removing both cards below a covered card exposes it. Clear all three peaks to win.
  • Tap the stock or press D to draw. Drawing breaks your streak; the stock is not recycled.
  • Use H for a hint and U or Ctrl/Cmd+Z to undo. Unfinished deals are saved automatically.

Scoring

Each tableau card earns 20 plus 10 times the current streak, up to 120 points per card. Clearing each of the three peak cards adds 100. A win adds 1,000 plus a speed bonus up to 1,000, falling by 2 per second. Only completed deals enter this game's leaderboard.

Tips

  • Look before you play. When two cards fit the waste, pick the one that keeps the chain going longest, not the first one you see.
  • Prefer cards that uncover face-down cards. Every card turned up is another option for the chain.
  • Hold back on the stock. Drawing breaks your streak and the stock is not recycled, so draw only when no tableau card fits.
  • Count around corners. Ace connects to both King and 2, so a chain can run Q, K, A, 2 without stopping.

Deals and saves

Deals are shuffled, not guaranteed winnable. If you run out of moves, undo or start a new deal. Each game keeps its own progress and leaderboard. A new deal does not affect your other solitaire games.

Frequently asked questions

Do suits matter in TriPeaks?

No. Only rank counts: any 7 can follow any 6 or 8, whatever the suits.

Can a King go on an Ace?

Yes. Ranks wrap around, so Ace connects to both 2 and King.

Can I go through the stock more than once?

No. There is one pass through the stock, with no recycle, which is why every draw counts.

Is every TriPeaks deal winnable?

No. Deals are shuffled, not chosen to be winnable, and some cannot be cleared however you play them.

How do streaks score?

Each card earns 20 plus 10 for every card in your current streak, this one included, so 30 for the first card and up to 120 per card. A draw from the stock ends the streak.
