About Block Drop

Block Drop is an 8×8 block puzzle: drag pieces onto the board, fill a row or a column to clear it, and keep going as long as the pieces fit. Clear several lines at once and on move after move for the big scores. Free in your browser, no download, and your game is still there when you come back.

How to play Block Drop

  • Drag a piece from the tray onto the board. Pieces do not rotate.
  • A full row or column clears. Rows and columns filled by the same piece clear together.
  • You get three pieces at a time; the next three arrive when all of them are placed.
  • The game ends when none of the pieces left in the tray fit anywhere.

Tips

  • Plan where all three pieces go before placing the first.
  • Keep an open three-by-three area for the big square.
  • Build from the edges in and keep the middle open.
  • Look for one piece that finishes a row and a column together.

Frequently asked questions

Is Block Drop free?

Yes. It plays free in the browser with no download and no sign-up.

Can I rotate pieces?

No. Each piece is placed the way it is dealt, which is why leaving room for the big ones matters.

How do combos work?

Clearing on consecutive moves builds a combo that adds a bonus to each clear. One move without a clear keeps it; a second ends it.

What is a perfect clear?

Emptying the whole board with a clear. It is worth 300 extra points.

Is my game saved?

Yes. Leave in the middle of a game and the same board comes back.
