About Tropical Drop
Tropical Drop is a fruit merge puzzle: drop fruit into the lagoon tank, and when two identical fruits touch they become the next, bigger one. Build from a tiny acai berry to a watermelon, then merge two watermelons into the Jackfruit for 3,000 points. Fruit rolls and settles with real physics, so where you drop matters as much as what. Free in your browser, nothing to install.
How to play Tropical Drop
- Aim with your mouse or finger and release to drop the fruit.
- Two identical fruits that touch merge into the next fruit in the chain.
- Only the five smallest fruits drop; everything bigger is built by merging.
- Two watermelons make the Jackfruit, which pays 3,000 points, starts Lagoon Fever and leaves the tank.
- If fruit stays above the red danger line for ten seconds, the run ends.
Scoring
- Each merge scores the fruit it makes: from 2 points for an acai to 700 for a watermelon.
- Merges in quick succession build a combo that multiplies their points, up to three times.
- A merge that sets off another is a chain and earns a growing bonus on top.
- Merges fill the Fever bar. Lagoon Fever lasts ten seconds and adds half again to every merge.
- Merges also charge Lagoon Shake, which shakes the tank to resettle the pile.
Controls
- Move the mouse or your finger to aim, release or tap to drop.
- On a keyboard, Left and Right (or A and D) aim, and Space or Enter drops.
- The panel beside the tank shows the next fruit.
Tips
- Keep the biggest fruits together in one corner so they can meet.
- Drop small fruit into gaps, not on top of the pile.
- Save big merges for Lagoon Fever.
- Keep Lagoon Shake for when the pile is near the line.
