About Cross Road
Cross the Road is a one-tap arcade about nerve. Hop your pigeon forward through lanes of traffic, ride drifting logs across rivers and time your dash across the rails while the camera creeps up behind you. Every step forward scores; standing still costs you. Each stretch of road is generated fresh and mathematically checked before you ever see it, so no death is ever unfair: only mistimed.
How to play
Tap or swipe up to hop forward. Swipe left or right to sidestep. Swipe down to step back. Cars, trucks and trains kill on contact; water kills unless you are standing on a log. Logs carry you sideways, so plan the jump off before you drift out of the corridor. The red zone at the bottom is the camera: get caught by it and the run ends. Only reaching a new furthest row resets the camera's patience.
Quick tips
Waiting is not free: the camera keeps coming, so a safe cell is only safe for a while. Cross rivers diagonally: land on the leading edge of a log and let it carry you towards the next gap. Watch the flashing signal on the rails: a train takes the whole row, and there is no dodging it once it starts. When traffic looks solid, sidestep to a different column instead of waiting in place.
